It comes a year after singer Taylor Swift pulled her entire back catalogue of work from Spotify, with her record label claiming she received approximately £309,000 for plays of her music in a year, debunking the site's claim she would have earn almost £4million in just one year. Spotify said it hoped Adele - who has been hailed as the artist to "save the music industry" by critics, who greeted her new record warmly - would change her mind.
